Our baby is 1 today!

I can't believe our little baby is 1! Claire, we are all so proud of the little girl you have become! You have been through a lot this past year and we don't know what we would do without you. You are the little girl we have always dreamed of. You have taught us so much about what we have to be thankful for and how precious life is. Here is to you, our little miracle and inspiration!

Claire is almost 1!

Claire is getting ready for 2 big appointments: On her birthday Oct 27th, she goes to her pediatrician and on Nov 4th, she has an MRI head scan. She is doing great pulling herself up to stand and is starting to become a better eater and better napper! Claire is going to be Tigger this year for Halloween because she loves to jump and it was one of the only costumes that did not make her cry. We went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend with Claire's cousins the Henry's from Minnesota. She got her first tooth a few weeks ago and she is still all smiles!

While we were at the pumkin patch Claire decided to go boating with the pirates. She loved the pirate band. She loves music!

11 Month Video

Claire is 11 months today!

Claire is still a huge sweetheart! She is getting better at eating and drinking more. She still gives me grief about napping during the day but is a great night sleeper! It's funny people always ask me, "is she always this happy?" Yes, she is a happy baby. She has the best temperment and she would play all day if you let her. Some of her favorite things to do are rip open all of my cupboards, pick on her dog brother Joe, play with doors, swing outside, and of course make a huge mess and string all of her toys all over the living room. She is working on blowing kisses, standing, and cruising. She is not walking yet but hopefully soon! She sprouted the tip of her 1st tooth last week! I can't wait to see her little smile with teeth! Today was also her Grandma and Grandpa McKinney's 34th Wedding Anniversary. Happy Anniversary to them!

Labor Day weekend

Claire's cousins from Minnesota came into town to visit for the weekend. It was good to see all them. (Evie, Lilie, Nick, Johnny, and the newest member Danny)

Claire got to ride in a sport utility vehicle that looked like a golf cart at our family friends house! Thanks to the Reineke's for a really fun Labor Day at their acreage!

Indiana, Put-in-Bay, and Chicago

We took yet another fun summer trip a few weeks ago and went up to visit some family and friends in Indiana. On our way back we spent a day in a small island off of Lake Erie called Put-in-Bay. Claire's favorite part was riding around the town in a golf cart. Then we went to Chicago for a White Sox game. She did very well on the long drive, I think all the Baby Einstein videos she watched along the way helped. Hopefully she will continue to be a good traveler like her Dad!
