Summer Fun!

Claire is now 21 months and is very fun and independent! She can sing her ABC's with you and some of her other favorites songs are Baa Baa Black Sheep, Row Row Row Your Boat, Twinkle Twinkle, and How Much is that Doggy in the Window. In the evenings we try to get out for family bike rides.

20 Months and growing.....

Claire has a 2 year old attitude already! She is very social and loves to make new friends. Claire and I joined a My Gym class last month and she has learned how to climb on and hang on everything. She is trying to learn how to do a forward roll independently. Claire has been doing really good with learning her colors and using the potty at bath time! She went to more College World Series games than I did this year and we all had a great 4th of July weekend despite the rain.

Almost 19 Months

We went to the Tulip Festival in Pella, IA again this year, unfortunately it was cold and rainy! Claire enjoyed seeing her Henry cousins and the parade. Claire just got a pool and crys every time she has to come inside! She is starting to gain more weight and loves watermelon. We are still completely healthy, happy, and don't have any more doctors appointments until around 2 years.

18 Months!

Claire is now officially 18 months! She now weighs in at 21 lbs 4 oz! Her pediatrician says she is doing great! We are still trying to introduce potty training. Let me know if anyone has any tips! Claire loves playing outside this spring! She also loves, M&M's, playing ball, going on walks, and has taken a liking to the word "no". Some little girls brought it to my attention last week that with her trimmed bangs and pig tails Claire looks a lot like "Boo" from Monsters Inc. I posted some pictures just for fun. She will be 18 months next week, oh how time flies! We will see her Pediatrician on April 28th, where I am hoping she will finally break 20 lbs.

Happy Easter

Claire had a great appointment at the Developmental Clinic on Monday! They said that she is right on track and they had no concerns. They did comment on her weight, she only weighed 19 lbs 13.5 oz. This Easter we are going to try to bulk her up with Easter candy! We hope you all have a great Easter and enjoy this spring weather!

Let the potty begin!

Claire is now 17 months! I realize it has been over a month and a half since I posted our last update. Claire and work have been keeping me busy! She loves to "help" with everything like eating, typing on the computer, re-arranging my cupboards and drawers. I am still constantly child proofing new things each day! We just tried for the 3rd time to put her in a forward facing car seat and it seems to be working out better this time, especially since she had just started to learn how to undo her infant car seat. Claire got a potty chair to begin "practicing" with. Right now she loves to stand on it and listen to it play music. Claire loves to play with her kitchen and laundry set toys. This week she started a Kindermusik Class with our friend Lexi. Her last appointment was her neurologist on Feb 17th and she checked out beyond their expectations! She is going to the Developmental Clinic on Mon, March 29th and we expect to hear more raving reports!
