Claire has had a great past couple of days. She started bottle feeding on Friday morning every three hours a 1/2 ounce of pedialite. Then Saturday early morning they switched her to breast milk bottle feedings and doubled her dosage through her NG breast milk continuous feeds. She is content when she is awake and sleeps for 2-3 hours at a time. They kept weaning her oxygen rates and finally took it away on Friday night. Then Saturday morning they put her NG tube back in her nose so that she was not so gaggy with her bottle feeds. The only sad part was that her femeral line had a leak so they started up another scalp IV. Her jaundice coloring continues to get better. We can now hold her all the time, she started smiling this evening, and it’s great to hear her voice and cry. She is really starting to act like a normal baby!

I am sure this was not the ideal way you thought Thanksgiving would be this year - however - you are both remarkable and make the best out of all of this. I am so thankful for all of Claire's little forward progress steps. Many prayers are being sent your way.

Thanks so much for keeping this site updated as much as you guys do! It's great to see what's going on with Claire. Everything sounds like it's going great! Claire looks adorable. We can't wait until we can simply take a walk to come see and hold Claire!!!
